Rookery Roost Tuesdays

  • 2045 N Lincoln Park W Chicago, IL, 60614 United States (map)

Join the Chicago Black-crowned Night-heron Project every Tuesday for the Rookery Roost! These informal gatherings of volunteers station outside the Lincoln Park Zoo to count, learn about, and celebrate Illinois’ only remaining breeding colony of Black-crowned Night-herons.

Event is rain or shine, unless there are severe weather - wind/lightening - warnings.

Go Team Nycticorax! A heron so nice they named them twice!
