Paid Program
Chicago Ornithological Society and Friends of the Chicago River have teamed up to offer a new way to experience the magic of migration like never before! Join expert canoe guides for a trip down the Chicago River in search of migrant warblers, waterfowl, swallows, and much more. Enjoy birds on the river in a whole new way as wildlife often only seen from afar, can be encountered up close in the low canopies and shorelines of the wild Chicago River. Whether you've never paddled before, or it's one of your life's passion to get on the water as much as possible, you'll sure to enjoy your paddling experience.
Registration is by boat instead of by seat, to ensure participants already know their boating partner. Registration fee is $80 per boat.
