Make Humboldt Park a leisurely start to your birding day, or come join us after hitting up another spot or two earlier on in the morning. Either way you can’t lose! Humboldt Park in the spring is hard to beat, as migratory birds flock to the incredible green oasis in the surrounding urban environment.
Early May is a phenomenal time to look for birds in Humboldt Park, as quite a variety of warblers can turn up, along with sparrows, vireos, swallows, and many more birds. Moreover, it's a great opportunity to hear many of them practicing their songs as they head towards their breeding grounds.
People of all experience levels are welcome, including folks who have never birded before.
