Join COS for a Fall Migration birding trip out to Coral Woods Conservation Area. The land is managed by the McHenry County Conservation District, who have maintained the area's oak woodland, savanna, and sedge meadow. McHenry County is a favorite destination for many city birders who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle. We will hike the roughly 1.5 miles of unpaved trails in search for tanagers, vireos, and warblers. Loaner binoculars will be available.

Accessibility:
Total trip distance is approximately 1.5 miles and will take place mostly on wide paved, crushed-gravel, or wood-chip trails that are relatively level with minimal incline. We may leave the trail at times to walk through the grass for a better view of the birds. Any recent rain may create muddy conditions.
Rustic restrooms are available at the parking lot.
