Location: Bill Jarvis Migratory Bird Sanctuary, 3550 N DuSable Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60613
Join COS for morning birding at Bill Jarvis Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This 10-acre hotspot packs diverse habitats including woodland, savanna, and wetland. The majority of our time will be spent at the Sanctuary’s Viewing Platform searching for flycatchers, woodpeckers, and Black-crowned Night Herons. Our remaining time together will be allocated for a quick walk around the Jarvis trail and a peek out at the lake. Novice birders are welcome and encouraged to attend. Loaner binoculars will be available.
