Montrose Point Offshore Ducks, Beginner Bird Walk

  • Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary 200 West Montrose Harbor Drive Chicago, IL, 60640 United States (map)

This trip is specifically for beginning birders. We will focus on birding basics and identifying the most common birds in Chicago. Late October isn’t the best time to look for land birds, but if the weather is right, we may find some lingering passerines on land while also are looking for rare waterfowl and gulls. Late fall may not offer lots of birds but the ones we find likely will be interesting, and it will be a great opportunity to give extra focus to the spectacular birds we do find!

Leader: Chris Williamson and Geoff Williamson

Pre-registration is required. Please contact Christine Williamson (birdchris@aol.com) or Chris Holden (twoheadedvireo@gmail.com) at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend or with questions.
