Come and explore Humboldt Park during fall migration! The natural area which extends around the lagoon at Humboldt Park attracts a variety of songbirds, shorebirds and waterfowl. We'll be looking for fall migrants such as warblers and sparrows and whatever we can find!

Accessibility:
Total trip distance is approximately 2 miles and will take place mostly on wide paved, crushed-gravel, or wood-chip trails that are relatively level with minimal incline. We may leave the trail at times to walk through the grass for a better view of the birds. Any recent rain may create muddy conditions.
Restrooms are available at the field house after 9:00 a.m.
Weather/Attire/Other:
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please bring bottled water. Dress for the weather. Based on the forecast, you may want to bring a hat and sunscreen and a light jacket. Loaner binoculars will be available.
Location and Transportation:
The exact meeting location will be emailed in advance to registrants. Free parking is available at the boathouse parking lot and there is free parking on nearby streets. Humboldt Park is accessible by public transit via the North Avenue bus, Division Street bus, California Avenue bus, ad Blue Line (Damen stop).
Public Health:
Please bring a face mask with you. You may be asked to wear it as needed by the trip leader.
