Piping Plover Pale Ale is back! After a brief hiatus, this unique brew is back for a third, limited time release.
This top-flight ale, is a tribute to the beloved Piping Plovers Monty, Rose, Imani, and the many others that have continued to call Chicago’s shores home since their triumphant return in 2019. Brewed with the highest-quality El Dorado hops and real cactus pear juice, this unique brew’s flavor is a nod to the Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus, a native plant found throughout the dunes where these plovers live.

Montrose Point Dunes in Chicago have been host to endangered Piping Plovers every summer since 2019 after an almost 70 year absence from Chicago. Despite their newfound home being the busiest beach in the busiest city on the Great Lakes, these birds have defied the odds and returned year after year to one of the best dune habitats remaining in Chicago. Piping Plover Pale Ale is just the latest in a long line of creations they’ve inspired from artwork, to comics, to songs, and films, in honor of these survivors’ determination to bring their species back from the brink. This brew is flavored with Prickly Pear, a diminutive cactus native to and found throughout the dunes where these plovers live.
