Join guide David Rupp of IndiGo Birding Nature Tours for a walk through Park No. 566 in search of migrating sparrows and other birds. The grasslands in this park routinely attract Field, Lincoln's, Savannah and many other species of sparrows... maybe we can find a Clay-colored, Nelson's, or LeConte's! Study up on your sparrows before you come, but all levels of birders are invited. We'll take our spotting scopes over to Rainbow Beach for the last half hour to look for early migrating ducks.

Total trip distance is approximately 2.5 miles and will take place mostly on wide paved, crushed-gravel, or wood-chip trails that are relatively level with minimal incline. We may leave the trail at times to walk through the grass for a better view of the birds. Any recent rain may create muddy conditions.
Restrooms may be available at nearby Rainbow Beach.
