Virtual Event
For over 20 years, the Bird Conservation Network (BCN) has coordinated annual breeding bird surveys across the Chicagoland area. This volunteer driven effort has proven to be an important tool in helping track bird populations and driving conservation efforts. But now, a new landmark study is underscoring just how important this work is and how critical the Chicago region is for birds locally and globally.
Join Chicago Ornithological Society and Chicago Audubon Society for a virtual program all about what 22 years of the BCN breeding bird survey is telling us. From the good news to the bad, BCN experts will walk us through what we know, what we don’t know, and where the birding community goes from here to protect and conserve Chicagoland’s birds.
