oin COS for a leisurely summer walk around Lincoln Park's South Pond. We'll attempt to beat the summer birding doldrums by searching for resident and late breeding birds found in this beautiful nature area nestled in the heart of Chicago. If the heat isn't too bad by the end of our circuit, we'll make quick pit stops at the zoo ponds as well.
Beginning birders welcome and loaner binoculars will be available! Total trip distance is two thirds of a mile. All portions of the trail are either paved or boardwalk and fully accessible. Anyone not carrying at least one full bottle of water will be scorned. Dress for the weather; hats are highly encouraged.
