Plum Creek Bird Walk

  • Plum Creek Forest Preserve United States (map)

Explore this ‘underbirded’ forest preserve as migration winds down. Targets will be local breeding specialties like Acadian Flycatcher, White-eyed Vireo, and Yellow-breasted Chat, as well as Henlow's and Grasshopper sparrow.

Beginning birders are welcome and we will have extra binoculars available. Insect repellent is a good idea for this site. Wear a hat and boots if possible and tuck pants into socks to deter ticks. Tall grass may be wet so high rubber boots are recommended or shoes/pants that can get wet.

Due to COVID safety restrictions, we are limiting this walk to 5 people per leader. YOU MUST RSVP IN ADVANCE! THERE WILL BE NO IN-PERSON SIGN UP! Since we will have such small groups, we ask that you contact trip leader or aerin tedesco (aerintedesco@gmail.com) at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend.

Please read the safety instructions below CAREFULLY before signing up!!!*

Leaders: Aerin Tedesco and Henry Griffin
