Meet in the parking lot of the park office at the corner of 3300N and 2800E.
Join COS for our first ever series of whip-poor-walks! We will be traveling to two strongholds of Eastern Whip-poor-will to listen for (and maybe see) these enigmatic and in decline birds. Along the way we'll also keep and eye (or ear) out for other nocturnal birds such as nighthawks and owls. Both trips will involve a combination of hiking and driving to various observation locations.
Please come prepared with ample insect protection of your choice and a bottle of water.
