Our friends at Chicago Bird Collision Monitors proudly present Dr. Ben Winger, formerly of the avian lab at the Field Musuem, and now assistant professor at the University of Michigan, in a share out of research made possible by the hard work of volunteers collecting birds following window strikes.
Studies of birds collected as collision fatalities over several decades at Chicago’s downtown buildings have led to interesting findings regarding changes in avian physical features in response to climate change as well as insights into how certain migratory species are less prone to window strikes.
