Join COS for a trip to Orland Grasslands to look for returning grassland species.

Meet at parking lot at 167th Street & S La Grange Road, Tinley Park, IL at 7:30 am.

We'll explore this restored prairie with Pat Hayes, who has been involved in the long term restoration of the site. We should see Eastern Meadowlarks, Bobolinks, and a variety of sparrows like Grasshopper, Henslow's and Vesper. This is also an occasional stopover site for migrating Lapland and Smith's Longspurs.

Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear/water resistant boots, as some areas can be soggy.
