Every spring and fall, millions of birds and bats migrate through the Great Lakes region as they travel between their wintering and breeding grounds. Using Avian Radar Units stationed in Chicago and around the Great Lakes, scientists from the US Fish and Wildlife Service have been studying these migrations since 2011.
Join us as we discuss the findings of this study and how the data can inform conservation decisions such as stopover habitat, wind energy, and other forms of development.
