2017 LaBagh Work Day #4

For our fourth LaBagh Woods workday of 2017, we will partner with Larry and Pete, the original LaBagh stewards, and do a joint workday in the Sauganash area under their leadership. It's always a great day out at LaBagh, but this is a chance to work in an area of LaBagh we don't always get an opporutnity to work in.

We plan to cut unwanted buckthorn, clean up garbage, and mitigate some erosion damage on overused paths. We will attempt to close down those paths with some of the buckthorn we cut.

New to a work day?  No worries --- NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We will show you what to cut, how to cut it, and where to put it once it is cut. We will have gloves and all the necessary tools needed to get our work done for the day. Larry and Pete will likely have water and snacks. If the Marton's join us, there might also be some homemade treats for our break.

So come join us for what looks like seasonably-appropriate weather this Saturday as we continue to work to make all of LaBagh healthy and as buckthorn-free as we can make it. You'll spend a great day in the forest with good people - one that will leave you feeling satisfied for making a difference for an important bit of urban forest.
