Introducing Piping Plover Pale Ale

Our beloved Monty and Rose continue to be an inspiration, from artwork to comics to films to poems to songs and more. Now we have every craft beer fan’s dream: Imperial Oak Brewing’s Piping Plover Pale Ale, a beer featuring the highest-quality El Dorado hops and the supple flavor of real cactus pear juice. Imperial Oak will release Piping Plover Pale Ale, starting on Saturday, August 1, at 11 a.m. This limited edition beer will be available in cans, for curbside pickup or for enjoyment on the patio at Imperial Oak, located at 501 Willow Boulevard in Willow Springs.

Designer/illustrator Bill Fogarty created the wonderful artwork for the beer’s label, which features an image of a piping plover enjoying a frosty mug of beer. The cactus juice is a tribute to the Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus that is found in the Piping Plover’s natural habitat of the dunes around the Great Lakes. A percentage of proceeds from sales of this top flight pale ale will benefit the conservation and education programs of the Chicago Ornithological Society, which has been key partner in protecting Monty and Rose.
