Trip Report: Humboldt Park - Sept. 22
By Stephanie Beilke
This morning, 7 other birders risked the rain forecast and came out with me to Humboldt Park. As it turned out, the rain completely missed us and we were rewarded with excellent views of warblers and several other neotropical migrants. In the photo, the group is enjoying a mixed flock of about 7-8 warbler species, a singing Eastern Wood-Pewee, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Swainson’s Thrush, Gray Catbird and a Philadelphia Vireo! It was so birdy it took us 3 hours to circle the park. In total we had 39 species.
